Reflections and Research on Exemption Testing at the University of Helsinki Language Centre

Communication Skills Workshops (CSWs) are organised anually or biannually by the CSW Committee, a volunteer group of members. The target group consists of teachers working in Language Centres of Finnish and Estonian universities or in comparable institutions. Our working language is English, but teachers of other languages, and skills, are more than welcome; indeed, they are encouraged to attend! The workshops explore specialized themes related to the current needs of language teachers. They combine presentations by invited plenary speakers with practical hands-on workshops. Separate themes are considered at each workshop and are based on suggestions from CSW participants.
