Upon completing the course, the students are able to:

 - analyze different forms of populist mobilization in Europe and beyond

 - apply the key concepts in the current field of research on populism in discussing specific populist mobilizations and their socio-political contexts

- recognize different (transnational) hybrid media transference – from ‘newer’ to ‘older’ media and vice versa – used by right-wing populists for spreading narratives on migration

- analyze the role of nationalism, economy, welfare state, gender, sexuality and race in right-wing populist narratives and rhetoric
