Order in the Indo-Pacific (Virtual Workshop I/III), funded by Stiftung Mercator

Activity: Participating in or organising an event typesOrganisation and participation in conferences, workshops, courses, seminars

Description

This workshop, the first of three, seeks to garner insights on interpretations and prioritizations
of order in the Indo-Pacific. Policy practitioners and experts often use the concept of ‘order’ in
the Indo-Pacific loosely, yet without a clear understanding of the concept, policies may be
flawed in design and execution. The findings of this and the following two workshops, a
culmination of diverse perspectives and expertise, will contribute to a series of op-eds, policy
briefs and a publicly available policy report catered to understanding these five powers’
positions on order in the Indo-Pacific and constructive ways forward for the EU and its member
states.
