Goal of training This one day intensive seminar helps you to be more successful in front of Funding and stakeholder audiences e.g. the ERC panel and other situations when you need to be the best. This workshop is designed to help you whenever you need to stand up in front of a group of people and present your ideas. This might be a Project status update to the project team, an interview situation in front of the Funding committee, e.g. the European Research Council (ERC) panel or a job interview situation when you have been asked to ?Present to the Board? ? the theme ?Why You/Your research?? Some of the challenges you face include how to * Sell yourself in front of a funding committee who have given you a tight presentation schedule and enjoy comparing you against your competitors e.g. the European Research Council (ERC) * Present at a conference with an audience who don?t know much, if anything, about our subject. * Motivate, even inspire, your audience when you know there are some negative people in the room. * Get a group of potential partners interested in your research e.g. at Horizon 2020 brokerage events Content of training During the workshop you will get theory, practice and feedback on * How to make your presentation convincing / Get Buy In * Lobbying & informal influencing skills with the audience. * Tools for interaction and chairing discussion * How to identify and use your supporters in the room and also manage the less positive members of the audience.
