Description
The Meilahti Clinical Proteomics Core Facility operates at the Faculty of Medicine on the Meilahti Campus of the University of Helsinki. The facility
includes units operating on the premises of Biomedicum Helsinki and the Haartman Institute. The Biomedicum unit belongs to the Institute of Biomedicine and the Haartman unit to the Transplantation Laboratory. The facility is a member of the ProtMetNet community funded by Biocenter Finland.
The Meilahti unit specialises in analysis and research services in clinical proteomics for all Finnish institutes of higher education, other research communities and the industry. Even though the unit specialises in clinical proteomics, it also provides basic services in the field and serves international communities, mainly European institutes of higher education and research
communities. It is largely responsible for local undergraduate and postgraduate education in proteomics.
