Organisation Profile
Helsinki SEN is an expert group devoted to advancing high-quality research related to learning and well-being of children, youth, and young adults with various learning difficulties and disabilities. We provide research-based instruction to promote inclusion in school and society, academic success, and well-being in Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Helsinki.
Our experts apply various research methods to produce new scientific evidence. We have especially good methodological knowledge in applying diverse educational intervention designs, analyzing longitudinal data and making systematic literature reviews. Our research methodological expertise also covers qualitative research, focusing on attitudes, experiences and perceptions of various stakeholders as well as education policy, structures and practices, and their interconnectedness.
