Ruminant Health research group shares interest in good health and welfare of cattle, sheep and goats
Ruminant Health research group works at the Department of Production Animal Medicine at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine. Dairy production is the largest livestock sector of Finnish agriculture and bovine mastitis continues to be the most common and costly disease of dairy cows. Udder health and milk quality are topics of active research of our group. Other research areas include hoof diseases, calf health and small ruminant health. We mostly conduct applied, epidemiologic field studies, in close collaboration of industry partners. Read more on our website
