Description of research and teaching
My core areas of interest are mental health, public health, sexual health, and gender and health. My work examines the interface of mental health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults. I am particularly interested in mental health, eating disorders, ADHD, and autism. As a Fellow of the European Committee of Sexual Medicine and a Gender, Sexual, and Relationship Diversity therapist, I have a broad understanding of human sexuality and gender diversity. I have a strong interest in clinical and population epidemiology and gender issues. I have published several non-fiction books.
I offer various courses for health professionals on mental health, sexual health, research methods, and academic writing.
