Personal profile

Description of research and teaching

In my research I examine gene x environment interaction effects on physical and mental health. I am particularly interested how stress may alter functioning of human genome and epigenome.

I am working with Helsinki Birth Cohort Study (HBCS), Glycyrrhizin in Licorice (Glaku) and Preeclampsia and Offspring Development (Predo) data. I also participate in big GWAS projects. My supervisors are Docent Jari Lahti and Professor Katri Räikkönen.

In spring 2016 I together with my colleague Kadri Haljas organized a 10-lecture course 'Behavioral genetics in the lifespan context'.
