Description of research and teaching
Anna Uitto is the emerita professor in biology education (2023-). She has been the director of the research group focusing on biology education and the education for sustainable development. Her research interests include inquiry approch in biology education, conceptual learning, socio-scientific issues in biology education, out-of-school learning, nature education as well as sustainability education. Besides the research publications, she has published research-based learning material for teacher education and school education.
