Curriculum vitae

I am a sociologist and Ph.D. researcher. At the moment I am working on my dissertation on the topic of deportation history of Ingrian Finns in the Soviet Union, internal exile, and the diaspora. My research has been multidisciplinary including sociology, history, ethnography, and oral history. I have done qualitative, quantitative, and historical research on the topics of ethnic minorities, integration, exclusion, forced migration, stigma, networks, and rehabilitation. I have previously worked in the Finnish Academy project Developing theory and methodology in the study of the effects of discrimination and marginalization. My work experience also includes working as a planner in media and communications in the Rehabilitation Foundation.
