Curriculum vitae

Doctor of Social Sciences, sociologist, historian, postdoctoral researcher, and book author. Her multidisciplinary research spans sociology, history, and oral history. She is currently studying the lived experiences and photographs of Ingrian Finns in German-occupied Ingria (Leningrad region) during World War II and is writing a book on the subject.

Her book on Stalin’s purges of Finns was published and well received in Finland in 2023. A peer-reviewed edition will be published in Swedish (SLS) and an edited version in English in 2026. She defended her PhD dissertation Deportations, Diaspora and Resistance during Stalin's Time in the Letters and Oral Histories of Ingrian Finns at the University of Helsinki in 2023.

Her research interests and publications include ethnic minorities, forced migration, occupation, resistance and counter-narratives, integration and inclusion, exclusion, racism, stigma, and (mental) rehabilitation.
