Personal profile
Description of research and teaching
I am employed as a full-time doctoral researcher in the History and Cultural Heritage program at the University of Helsinki, since January 2019.
My dissertation explores the evolution of pacifist thought in the memoirs of Frank Percy Crozier, a former British Army officer who became a vocal advocate for peace during the interwar period. Through a detailed analysis of Crozier's autobiographical writings, my research investigates how his experiences in The Great War and other military conflicts informed his shift from a military commander to a proponent of pacifism.
My work is interdisciplinary, drawing on narrative theory, memory studies, and identity theory.
