Description of research and teaching

Development of new radiotracers for brain research and for studying nanoparticle mediated drug delivery with positron emission tomography (PET) and single photon emission tomography (SPECT).

Teaching at courses: Radiopharmaceutical chemistry, Radionuclide production and tracer techniques, and Organic chemistry I.

Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), University of Kuopio, Finland, Major subject: Biochemistry, Research field: Chemistry in Biosciences (2003). Topic of the doctoral dissertation: New tropane analogues as potential brain imaging agents: Synthesis, conformational study and in vitro/in vivo evaluation.

Docent in Radiochemistry, University of Helsinki, Finland (2011).
