Description of research and teaching

Anu Lahtinen (PhD, European Doctorate) is Professor of Finnish and Nordic History at the University of Helsinki. Her fields of expertise include Finnish and Nordic history, especially premodern era, as well as long-term social history and gender history. She is the Editor-in-Chief of Historiallinen aikakauskirja (Historical Journal) http://www.historiallinenaikakauskirja.fi/historical-journal in 2016-2025 and the Chair of the board of Tilaushistoriakeskus (Centre for commissioned history projects) 2016-2022.
