Research interests
Astrid Murumägi is a senior scientist at the Kallioniemi research group. Her work is focused on applying functional precision medicine strategy in cancer research. In this approach cancer patients live tumor cells are cultured ex vivo and used for comprehensive drug sensitivity testing and molecular profiling to identify best treatment strategies for patients. She is involved in melanoma, ovarian and prostate cancer functional precision oncology projects.
