Description of research and teaching

Key areas of interest are Bantu and Berber/Amazigh language studies. The teaching covers a broad range of courses related to language, history and culture in Africa. The nexus of these lies in cognitive and historical semantics and linguistic anthropology.

Launch of a research project on ‘The diachronic lexical semantics of spatial terms in the Nguni languages’. At the same, work on Berber languages in Barcelona, Spain. Participant at various courses on Berber at the Autonomous University of Barcelona [UAB](“Linguistic methodology and sociolinguistics of the Berber languages”, “Introduction to the language and culture of the Berber”) and the University of Barcelona [UB] (“Introduction to Berber”). Practical language classes of the Tashelhit variety of Berber.
