Description of research and teaching
I am conducting my PhD on infertility in contemporary high tech society. I am interested in involuntary childlessness as phenomena profoundly intertwined with medical assistance and enhancement of bodily reproduction. The study applies the methods of multi-sited ethnography to explore the co-enactment of human and non-human agencies, biological matter and material objects in the interfaces of medical infertility problems and the experience of being involuntarily childless.
