Description of research and teaching
I am a university lecturer in Global Development Studies at Helsinki University. My current research interests include prolonged adolescence in the Middle East and North Africa, particularly Egypt, and anti-racist mobilization in Tunisia. My doctoral research examined the everyday experiences of young Egyptian activists before the 2011 uprisings.
