Description of research and teaching

As from 1.9.2022, I am working as an Academy Research Fellow at the University of Eastern Finland. I am a supervisor within the Doctoral Programme in Cognition, Learning, Instruction and Communication (CLIC) at the University of Helsinki.

My research links the study of motivation with well-being and explores both among children and young people, especially during educational transitions. Specifically, I investigate individual differences in and developmental trajectories of achievement motivation (e.g., achievement goal orientations, task values) and their associations with various educational and emotional outcomes (e.g., academic achievement, educational aspirations, burnout, engagement, perfectionism).
