Personal profile

Description of research and teaching

I am conducting my PhD thesis at the Faculty of Educational Sciences in the University of Helsinki.
In my article-based doctoral thesis, I examine general upper secondary school (athlete and non-athlete students) and university students' perfectionistic profiles with the person-oriented approach by dividing students to different groups based on their individual combinations of the dimensions of perfectionism. In addition to investigating what kind of perfectionistic profiles can be identified, I also explore the stability and change of these profiles across an academic year, and how these profiles are related to students' motivation, academic well-being, and academic self-worth contingency.
