Personal profile

Description of research and teaching

I regularly teach two courses that deal with various socially critical approaches to consumer society. These are Consumer Behaviour (SOSK-KY502) in the Bachelor's programme and Consumer Culture (SOSM-KY307) in the Master's programme.

My research focuses on critical, philosophical, and psychoanalytical approaches to the excess of consumer culture from the perspective of uncosncious desire and how it is channeled as 'forced enjoyment'. I'm available for supervising promising PhD candidates interested in interpretive consumer research and poststructural theorizing of markets and culture.
