Our research is directed towards understanding how growth factors in the extracellular environment regulate growth and differentiation. In particular, the targeting and activation of the TGF-β/BMP family growth factors and their role in normal functions as well as in the pathogenesis of diseases such as fibrosis and cancer, is of interest. In our research we analyze human tissue biopsies, use in vitro cell culture and in vivo experimental mouse models as well as high throughput technologies.
