Description of research and teaching

Research: Sustainable development, Biological nitrogen fixation in rhizobium -legume symbioses - from molecules to field. Adaption of innovations by farmers. Molecular diversity, taxonomy and evolution of rhizobia from diverse geographical locations. Molecular mechanisms behind host specificity of nodulation and nitrogen fixation. Bioreendiation of oil-polluted soil using the legume rhizosphere. Environmental considerations in legume production. Plant and soil microbiomes.
