Personal profile

Description of research and teaching

I am education sociologist and organization researcher with the special interest in affects and emotions, theoretic and methodological approaches and change.

My forthcoming PhD dissertation, Academy of Emotions – Emotions and affects in change processes within the university has the special emphasis on the affective and emotional dimension of the governance and development work. Theoretically my work draws from sociological governance studies, with links to organization and gender studies, and the affect theories. The dissertation is at its final stage.

In my academic research, my interest has been on exploring emotions, especially their role in organizational dynamics and wellbeing. I am also experienced in theoretical and methodological development, and in finding ways for connecting theory and practice, academic and practical more together.
