Description of research and teaching

I am Senior University Lecturer of French language and culture at the Department of Languages of the University of Helsinki (Finland). My research focuses on the prosodic features, the foreign accent and the liaison phenomena in the speech of Finnish-speaking learners of French, different aspects of the speech and interaction of persons with autism spectrum disorder as well as on French and Finnish prosody. My methodological background is mainly in conversation analysis and prosodic analysis.

I am the editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Puhe ja kieli ('Speech and Language'). I teach in the B.A. and M.A. programmes in languages. In addition, I supervise several Master's theses and PhD dissertations.
