Description of research and teaching

Mattia Retta is a salaried full-time PhD candidate in Language Studies at the University of Helsinki. His research interests include research on hate speech, language use in social media, pragmatics, critical discourse analysis and language pedagogy. 

Education information

Mattia received his Bachelor's and Master's degree at the University of Helsinki with Italian philology as his major and he has qualified as a teacher of Italian and Latin. Additionally, he received a Bachelor's degree at the University of Turin (Italy) with Russian language and literature as his major in 2011.
