Personal profile

Education information

With MSc in European Forestry from the University of Eastern Finland and Forest Sciences from the University of Freiburg, Germany, (double degree programme) offered me an unparalleled possibility to learn from two completely separate academic perspectives. Before that, I completed my Bachelor's and Master's in Forestry at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.

All these study programmes from different recognized institutions provided me with specific knowledge in the subject area and prepare me for a career in sustainable management of forests, bio-economy, socio-economic research, and policy analysis. These experiences further create opportunities for my professional growth and networking chances with experts and researchers from across the globe.

Research interests

Currently, I'm working on policy network analysis for wood-based structures, and I am interested in a more profound knowledge about the circular economy and how to help the wooden industry thrive sustainably transitions. My research will be further progressing on public procurements for sustainable building construction.
