Recently achieved my Doctor of Science (Agriculture & Forestry) in the sustainable use of renewable natural resources programme at the University of Helsinki. Before that, with an MSc in European Forestry from the University of Eastern Finland and Forest Sciences from the University of Freiburg, Germany (Joint degree programme) offered me an unparalleled possibility to learn from two completely separate academic perspectives. I completed my Bachelor's and Master's in Forestry at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh.
All these study programmes from different recognized institutions provided me with specific knowledge in the subject area and prepared me for a career in sustainable management of forest resources, circular bio-economy, and socio-economic research. These experiences further create opportunities for my professional growth and networking chances with experts and researchers from across the globe.
Research interests
My research explores the integration of circularity in construction public procurement practices and its role in driving transformative change in urban built environments
Earlier, I worked on policy network analysis, the circularity potential of reclaimed wood use in the construction business ecosystem. I am interested in contributing and gathering more profound knowledge in the circular business model in the construction sector, and how the construction industry thrives in sustainability transitions, and finding ways to mainstream various emerging innovative solutions in the urban built environment.
