Research interests
I work as a Collegium Researcher at the Turku Institute for Advanced Studies (TIAS), and at the Department of Education, at the University of Turku years 2020-2022. I have a title of a Docent in Sociology of Education at the University of Helsinki, Faculty of Social Science.
My research interests involve the variety of educational opportunities concerning social class, gender, migration and agency. I have been studying the conceptual changes of equality, the patterns and forms of educational transitions and career guidance, and the educational choices made among young people and their families. I am in several editorial boards and teach and supervice university students. At the University of Helsinki I am affiliated to the Research group focusing on the governance of career guidance (GUIDE) and KUPOLI Research Unit focusing on the Sociology and Politics of Education.
