Personal profile

Curriculum vitae

I am a Doctoral Researcher in the Doctoral Programme of Gender, Culture and Society, discipline of social psychology. My PhD dissertation addresses meaning-making related to mononormativity in online news and social welfare practices, and amongst individuals in consensually non-monogamous relationships. Theoretically I am interested in critical social psychology and feminist approaches.

Alongside my PhD I provide education and counselling in the areas of sexuality, gender and relationship diversities. I have previously worked as a specialist on the sexual well-being of young people as well as in issues related to child sexual violence prevention.

Research interests

  • Consensual non-monogamies, i.e., polyamory, swinging, open relationships, relationship anarchy (RA)
  • Heteronormativity and mononormativity as societal and institutional phenomena
  • Social and health care system; professional encounters with gender, sexuality and relationship minorities
  • Critical theoretical and methodological approaches, e.g., queer theory, reflexive thematic analysis
