Research interests
I worked as a salaried doctoral researcher in the Faculty of Theology, Department of Church History 1st Jan 2020 – 31st Dec 2023, and have continued my doctoral research with grants from Ella & Georg Ehrnrooth foundation. My interdisciplinary study ”Tikkun, Commentary, and American Jewish perspectives on the Obama era Culture Wars 2012–2016” is situated in the fields of history of religion, social history and North American studies.
My scholarly interests include the following:
- religion in North America
- American society
- polarization and culture wars
- history of the Jews, antisemitism
- study of video games and other popular culture
