Description of research and teaching
I am a lecturer in Social Psychology at the Swedish School of Social Science (University of Helsinki) with a keen research interest in a wide array of social/psychological issues tied to societal transformations: identity broadly, well-being, values and political attitudes/ideologies. Theoretically I am interested in how psychoanalytic theory can inform sociological analysis of societal change. Methodologically I'm interested in methods and their limits. I am currently involved in the SRC-funded national research project FLUX that focuses on family formation and the factors behind falling fertility.
