Teaching: Senior university lecturer in food hygiene

Research: My particular area of interest are foodborne pathogens and their control in the food chain. My current research focuses on enteropathogenic Yersinia and my research goal is to determine the main stress tolerance mechanisms of Y. pseudotuberculosis with special emphasis on cold tolerance mechanisms. In addition, I am studying the epidemiology of both Y. enterocolitica and Y. pseudotuberculosis.
