Research interests

I am a biologist and paleontologist specializing in the study of mollusks, and in particular, terrestrial and freshwater gastropods. I am interested in describing the world’s snail biodiversity and in understanding their evolutionary relationships, fossil records, and biogeographic histories. Thus, I work with both fossil and living animals, mostly in the areas of taxonomy /systematics and biogeography. I am also interested in evolutionary ecology, conservation, invasive species, and ornithology.
