Description of research and teaching
I am a researcher of communication, technology and organizing. My background is in media and communication studies, but I have also worked in the areas of technology studies and organization studies. My current work focuses on social evaluation of organizations in the hybrid media system, organizing on digital platforms, the use of data and algorithms in organizations, and communicative AI.
In my previous projects, I have studied for example political campaigning online, organizational reputation with psychophysiological methods, social movement organizations, as well as the practices of social media analytics. I have a strong interest in methods and methodological development, in particular using computational methods and large data sets in social research as well as research ethics in digital research.
I am a member of the Open Science Coordination group at the University of Helsinki and also currently appointed as the LERU Open Science Ambassodor at UH.
