Description of research and teaching

Simultaneous EEG-fMRI combines the temporally accurate information of the electrical activity of the brain (EEG) with the spatially accurate information of the hemodynamic changes inside the brain (fMRI). Both methods measure brain function, and combining them in a simultaneous measurement provides us with brand new information, that's especially useful in the presurgical evaluation of epilepsy patients.
