Personal profile

Description of research and teaching

I am a Finnish veterinarian and PhD student at the Department of Equine and Small Animal Medicine at the University of Helsinki, Finland. I am a member of the research group DogRisk. My main research interests are trace elements and toxic metals in dogs and their association to diseases, diet, environment, and behavioral problems. My main PhD research project will be on idiopathic epilepsy in dogs. In my research I use both blood and hair mineral analyses, to obtain short-term and long-term element status, respectively.
