Description of research and teaching

I am a University Researcher at the Centre for Consumer Society Research, University lecturer in Environmental Policy at Tampere University and Adjunct Professor (Docent) in Sociology of consumption and sustainability (2021, University of Jyväskylä), and in Consumer research (2024, University of Helsinki).

My research focuses on everyday life, (un)sustainable consumption, citizenship and participation especially in the context of energy transition, and sustainable wellbeing. I hold a PhD in Environmental Social Sciences (2017, University of Helsinki). My fields of expertise include sociology of consumption and everyday life, transition studies and justice aspects of energy transition, urban climate and sustainability governance, and qualitative and participatory methods.
