Personal profile

Description of research and teaching

I am the Coleoptera (beetles) curator at Finnish Museum of Natural History. My research strives to understand how evolutionary process shapes biodiversity by using beetle systematics, development of new phylogenetic methods and ontology-based tools for species description. I teach ‘Introduction to phylogenetics’ course (fall of every even year starting from 2020). To find out more about the research in my Lab, click the link below my profile picture. Do not hesitate to contact me if you are interested to join the Lab (as an undergrad/grad/PhD student or postdoc).
