Description of research and teaching

Current position: Physicist, HUS Helsinki Medical Imaging Center

Research interest: Quality control of anatomical and functional magnetic resonance imaging

Description of the research: Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) instrumentation is vulnerable to technical problems and deficiencies in image quality. Small or slowly progressing changes in image quality are difficult to observe from clinical images, and therefore quality control with appropriate test objects is essential. The purpose of the research is to find and develop solutions for quality control of different applications of MRI and test the solutions in a multi-scanner clinical environment.
