I am Academy Professor (Academy of Finland, 2013 – 2017) at the University of Helsinki, where I direct the Academy of Finland Centre of Excellence in the Philosophy of the Social Sciences TINT (2012 - 2017). I am also Professor of Social and Moral Philosophy at the University of Helsinki.

In 2006 - 2011, I was Academy Professor (Academy of Finland) at the University of Helsinki where I directed TINT (Trends and Tensions in Intellectual Integration).

 

In 1995-2006, I was Professor of Philosophy at the Erasmus University of Rotterdam, directing Erasmus Institute for Philosophy and Economics (EIPE).

 

I am a former editor of the Journal of Economic Methodology (JEM, 1995-2005) and former Chair the International Network for Economic Method (INEM, 2007-2008).
