I was selected as a finalist in the international Cor Baayen award in 2013; the awardee of the year was Julien Mairal. The Cor Baayen award is granted to a promising young researcher in the field of informatics or applied mathematics and has been given yearly since 1995. The selection is done by the European Research Consortium for Informatics and Mathematics (ERCIM).
