Description (abstract)

CHARM concentrates on the questions of health and well-being, care-receiving and care-giving and experiences of social and health services of Russian-speaking minority aged 50+ and living in Finland.

Key findings

The data were collected during the spring 2019. A random sample of 3000 people was drawn from the Population Register, and of the invited people, 36% responded to the survey. CHARM report was published in May 2020. Significant results dealt with barriers of using health care services, troubles in making ends meet, social isolation, and the use of digital technology. The study has continued by focusing on digital exclusion of older migrants, the use of digital information technologies in health services, and material deprivation.
