Construing the reader in the framework of media concept

    By using linguistic tools, the project focuses on analysing, how reader and perspective are built in written media and media workers’ talk-in-interaction. The overall aims of the project are two-fold: to build links between linguistics and media studies (1), and to articulate within the framework of cognitive grammar, how participants of a communicative situation are produced by linguistic structures (2). In practice, these aims intertwine.
