Description (abstract)

Country Comfort focus on experiencing the rural landscape during the last decades in Finnish contryside. The ethnographic research data are collected in workshops by means of elicited group discussions and group walks in Teuva, South-Ostrobothnia. The workshops are organised all over the municipality in co-operation with local actors such as village associations and local societies. In the workshops, old and new photographs from Teuva are used as stimuli.
The main implementor of the project is the University of Helsinki Ruralia Institute.The partners are Teuvalaisen Kulttuurin Tuki, Teuva-Seura, the municipality of Teuva and the Evangelical Lutheran parish of Teuva. The project is funded by The European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and Leader Suupohja together with the municipality of Teuva and Teuvalaisen Kulttuurin Tuki ry.
