Project: Research project

Project Details

Description (abstract)

Natural language processing plays an increasingly important role in people’s everyday life and languages that are not supported by linguistic tools such as spell checkers and on-line translation services have severe disadvantages in the modern digital environment. The aim of this project is to develop novel generic language-independent methods that make use of massively parallel texts and modern statistical methods to transfer linguistic information from rich languages to low-density languages as an over-due act of linguistic solidarity.
