Description (abstract)
Genome of the American brown-rot causing agaric Heliocybe sulcata (Gloeophyllales, Basidiomycota) is being sequenced in a co-operation project with US DOE Joint Genome Institute. The species is of interest due to its wood-rot chemistry and fruiting body morphology, which is unusual in its order dominated by polypores and corticioid fruiting body types.
