Description (abstract)
This project is lead and managed by Hanken School of Economics and supported by the government of Finland.
The main goal of the project is to produce comprehensive and in-depth information on the human rights performance of Finnish companies in relation to the expectations and standards set for companies in the UN Guiding Principles on companies' policies, processes, practices and responses to adverse human rights impacts. Information is especially needed on the content and quality of the activities of Finnish companies related to human rights performance. The study uses the methodology published by the Corporate Human Rights Benchmark (CHRB) on its website, which increases the transparency of the assessment in the study and supports the discussion of the results of the study. The information produced by the project substantially supports the implementation of government program entries, especially for responsible business.
