Developments towards increasingly sustainable food systems are particularly visible, exemplary and effective through public procurement and catering services. As public procurement and ca-tering services form a complex professional whole, the developmental aim requires co-learning, co-development and co-innovation whereby different stakeholders can come together for up-grading implementation. This task is taken up in the Baltic Sea Region (BSR) by partners in Fin-land, Estonia, Poland, Germany, Denmark and Russia in StratKIT project (01.01.2019-30.06.2021), as funded by Interreg Baltic Sea Region, European Regional Development Fund with financial support of the Russian Federation, and with the total budget of 2M€. Together the partners map the current situation and competence pool, model the dynamics of sustainability developments, construct pragmatic tools for implementation and disseminate the take-home message across BSR and wider EU through orchestrated media efforts.
